Air Berlin is a member of the OneWorld alliance based around British Airways and American, but simultaneously cooperates with the SkyTeam of Air France and Delta. Its fleet policy is also rather bipolar. In the same segment, Boeing 737s are operated alongside planes of the Airbus A320 family, and its A330s will soon be joined by Boeing 787s. Meanwhile, the big A330 twinjets still represent the fleet's flagships, those of the bigger -300 series being operated on the high-volume holidaymaker routes within Europe.
